Issue 02 of Mag'23, an issue that starts with a very special celebration. Farimovel's 40th anniversary.

It has been 40 years of a company, which was born from the initiative and determination of the then young José Faria. In June 1983, with the help of family members, both in manpower and financial resources, he built a small workshop in a part of his own house, still under construction, and there he started to produce the first pieces of furniture.

In the late 80's, the small workshop was already insufficient for the volume of production reached, and José Faria invested in the purchase of land and construction of a new factory, better mechanized and with greater production capacity.

Having always "sought" his support from his family, José Faria also managed to get his son, Abílio Faria, involved and interested in the project, and in 2003 he started leading Farimovel. He is currently the company's CEO.

A family company, where most of the employees are related to each other: parents, children, cousins and brothers and sisters-in-law, who also get together at the workplace, thus forming a large family team.
